About us
The Islamic Center of Clarksville (ICC) is a non-profit organization with an operational philosophy based on the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Muslim families who visit the ICC facilities work towards fulfilling their religious obligations and striving for spiritual, intellectual, social and economic well-being and advancement.
The Islamic Center of Clarksville was unofficially formed more than two decades ago when there were only about 3 or 4 families. Then, the small group of local Muslims alternated meeting for Prayer (Salaah) in each other’s homes. They rented the Crow Community Center for the weekly Friday Prayer (Jum’ah), and for special holidays such as Eid-ul-Fitr (Celebration after fasting in the month of Ramadaan), and Eid-ul-Adha (Celebration in commemoration of Prophet Ibrahim/Abraham and his son Prophet Ismaeel/Ishmael).

Hadith
Anas ibn Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said when the month of Ramadan began, “Verily, this month has presented itself to you. There is a night within it that is better than a thousand months. Whoever is deprived of it has been deprived of all good. None is deprived of its good but that he is truly deprived.”
